I’ve haven’t moved to a sunny location…nor am I so brave to stand in a sleeveless top on Halloween day 😉 I’m just fashionably late!
If you’ve been sewing for a few years you certainly recognize this pattern…if you’ve just started this is Datura by Deer&Doe (available in French and English).
I’ve managed to refashion more men shirts…and I’m pretty happy about that! The pattern is a bit wide for my taste…I had to take in 5/8 inches (1.5 cm) on the sides and I feel the armscyes is too low. But overall it’s a very lovely blouse! the neckline detail and the color blocking possibilities are fabulous. Just make sure you pin the bias binding and try on the blouse or you risk it doesn’t stay put!
Next up for me…pants! What are you sewing these days?
Prossimo progetto per me…pantaloni! E voi cosa cucite di bello in questi giorni?
Cute one! I really like the way you reused the men’s shirt on the back.

What a beautiful refashion! Great use of the men’s shirts!

Thanks Alessa! I tried my best…unfortunately, using the front is always difficult due to the pocket…removing it leaves a mark and different color.

I want to try this, but don’t know which would be best to use. A chambray, a tencel denim or a regular denim. Which do you think would be best?

Though the chambray weight is not listed, I would tend to favour this option. The other two seem slightly too heavy. What you want is a shirting weight. I would try checking out that section from their website and if possible get a swatch. Hope this helps.
