I know it’s only Monday…but I am ready for another weekend…especially given the size of the long overdue bag I made.

To put this in perspective…I cut the outside fabric back in June but never  felt like assembling it until now.

 

So che e’ solo lunedi’…ma sono gia’ pronta per un altro weekend…soprattutto se guardo le dimensioni della borsa.

Per darvi un’idea…ho tagliato la stoffa esteriore a giugno, ma non ho mai avuto voglia di cucirla fino ad ora.

I told you it’s big! I got the pattern from a friend. The bottom is made with heavy interfacing. The handles were supposed to be different, but I had some trouble pull the cord through the fabric so after a good hour I gave up and made these simple handles.

Ve l’ho detto che era grande! Il modello mi e’ stato dato da un’amica. Ho rinforzato il fondo con della teletta pesante. Avrei voluto fare i manici rivestendo della corda, ma non sono riuscita a farla scorrere. Alla fine ci ho rinunciato e ho optato per qualcosa di piu’ semplice.

I used velcro for closing the straps, cheap and easy. As you can see the bag is fully lined..there are no pockets but luckily I have one of those bags to keep everything tidy (well…somewhat)

Ho usato del velcro per le chiusure…facile ed economico. La borsa e’  foderata… non ci sono tasche ma fortunatamente ho una di quelle pochette per mettere tutto in ordine (piu’ o meno…)

Ok, I am off for the weekend…ooops, no, tomorrow is work again, but first some sewing ahead.
