After 6 years I’m going to the beach again soon! And of course it’s a great opportunity to make appropriate clothing…Enter Named Alpi Chino Shorts
Dopo 6 anni tra qualche settimana andrò di nuovo al mare! E ovviamente è un’ottima opportunità per cucire dell’abbigliamento adatto…E quindi i i pantaloncini Alpi di Named erano d’obbligo!

For this pattern I upcycled a pleated skirt that I never really wore much as it was too low waisted and created too much volume around my hips…but the amount and fabric type were perfect for these shorts…plus it’s very hard to find such fabric in the stores…win-win!
Per questo cartamodello ho reciclato la stoffa di una gonna a pieghe che non avevo mai messo molto perché era troppo a vita bassa e mi creava troppo volume sui fianchi…ma la quantità e il tipo di stoffa erano perfette per i pantaloncini…e poi una stoffa così è difficilissima da trovare…è stata una vittoria su tutta la linea!

The pattern is really straight forward and didn’t require any changes. Though looking at these pictures and comparing them with the original pattern I think I could have taken in the side seams a tiny bit. Too late for that…but I can tell you they are super comfy and have already started wearing them a lot! I’m also quite proud I found a good use for some left-over glitter piping ;o) And the top is an old make

Il cartamodello è semplice da realizzare e non ho fatto modifiche. Anche se guardando le foto e paragonandole con quelle dell’originale credo che avrei potuto stringere leggermente le gambe. Ma è troppo tardi…però i pantaloncini sono comodissimi e li ho già messi molto! Sono anche contenta di aver usato del cordoncino argentato rimasto per le tasche ;o) E il top è una vecchia creazione
