I finally managed to complete the pleated Yoke Top from Learn to Sew with Lauren! You may remember my refashioned version and full review in July.
I didn’t make any modifications to the pattern other than reducing correcting the mistake on the pleats.
The fabric is some leftover taffeta from my wedding dress.

Innanzi tutto, è stata una bella sorpresa scoprire il tuo blog e tutto ciò che stai facendo. Cercando semplicemente delle foto dei nuovi numeri La Mia Boutique, perché nel paese dove abito ora li posso trovare in edicola con qualche mese in ritardo. Ho visto poi i tuoi capi, ho letto i tuoi articoli… e ti devo dire che sto apprezzando moltissimo il tuo lavoro, complimenti!
Quest’ultimo tuo top mi ricorda ciò che faccio di solito me stessa: tengo pezzi avanzati e a seconda dell’ispirazione li combino per creare un capo nuovo. Il tuo top è carino, spero che ti rimangano molti altri giorni con sole per poter godere anche dei capi che devi ancora finire.
Anch’io farei del tutto per prolungare l’estate! Mi è rimasto un vestito che devo ancora cucire (la stoffa è già tagliata), per non dire più degli altri capi che erano progettati per l’estate, ma non hanno ancora visto le forbici. Sto sempre progettando più che posso realizzare fisicamente.
Questi giorni sto progettando la mia “collezione” per l’autunno, forse comincerò a cucire nel weekend.
Seguendo il tuo esempio, traduco anche in inglese ciò che ti sto scrivendo, per le eventuali lettrici che non sono italiane (come me, scusami pure gli errori di italiano…).

First of all, it was a nice surprise to discover your blog and all that you do. I was just searching for pictures from the new numbers of La Mia Boutique because in the country where I live now I can find them with a few months delay. Then I saw your sewing projects, I read your articles … and I must say that I’m appreciating very much your work, congratulations!
Your last top reminds me what I use to do myself: I keep the fabric leftovers and, depending on the inspiration, I combine them to create new items. Your top is cute, I hope you’ll have many other sunny days to enjoy the items you still have to finish.
Me too, I’d do everything to make summer last longer! I still have a dress to sew (the fabric is already cut), not to mention other items that were designed for this summer but have not yet seen the scissors. I’m always designing more than I can do.
These days I’m planning my “fall collection”, maybe I’ll start to sew this weekend.
Following your example, I translate in English what I’m writing, for any readers who are not Italian (like me, sorry for the mistakes …).

Il tuo italiano e´ perfetto, davvero! Sono perfettamente d´accordo con te…la testa va troppo veloce, troppa ispirazione. Ma piano piano comunque cuciamo…ed e’ questo il bello. Se vuoi i numeri de La Mia Boutique possono essere acquistati anche online (ho una pagina con le informazioni). Poi se magari passi in Italia, loro di solito vanno alla fiera di Bergamo – Creattiva e hanno molti numeri in vendita compresi gli arretrati. Comunque grazie per venirmi a trovare sul blog!
