When wanting to test the fit before making my final Carme Blouse…I thought it would be fun to use an actual shirt instead of some boring muslin…

Quando volevo provare il cartamodello Carme Blouse prima di fare la versione finale ho pensato sarebbe stato divertente usare una camicia invece del cotone non sbiancato…

So, I simply omitted the front placket (Pauline explains how to do it in a video tutorial) and folded the buttoned shirt along the fold line.

Quindi ho semplicemente omesso il plastron anteriore (Pauline spiega come farlo in un video) e ho piegato la camicia abbottonata lungo la ripiegatura.

I made a self-cover button just for fun…I used the original button and buttonholes from the original shirt.

Ho ricoperto un bottone per dare un tocco di originalita’…per il resto ho usato bottoni e asole che erano gia’ sulla camicia.

As I didn’t have enough fabric for a long-sleeved version I went for a 3/4 length. I made the cuff by lengthening the original pattern piece and omitted the button and opening.
All in all it’s a very simple project…perfect to upcycle men’s shirts!

Visto che non avevo abbastanza stoffa per le maniche lunghe, le ho lasciate a 3/4. Ho creato il polsino allungando quello originale e ho omesso il bottone e l’apertura.
Complessivamente e’ un capo semplice da realizzare…perfetto per reciclare camicie da uomo!

Vi state preparando alle feste? Io ho messo su le mie semplicissime decorazioni nel weekend…adoro le luci di Natale.
