I hope you are having a great Christmas holiday with your family. I want to wish you all a fabulous Christmas and great start of the new year.
I won’t be doing a yearly sewing review…but share a few pictures from the last few days.
To be honest there hasn’t been much sewing (though I managed to cut a dress from Burdastyle 2010!) but quite some family time.
I’ve been skiing a few days in Selva Val Gardena…you can see me here all braced up before taking a lift…I’ve had loads of fun as I managed to improve a bit my technique (the first day is always hard though). The slopes were perfect and there were hardly any people (I hate it when you have to stand in line and watch out for crazy skiers around…I need space 😉
I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my super patient private skiing instructor who for the past few years has been helping me with my skiing, giving me suggestions…using all sorts of motivational tricks…telling me I can do better or even jokingly telling me my arm movement makes me look like a chicken (visualizing that made me stop immediately!). Thankfully I can pay the lessons with a kiss or two or I would be bankrupt by now 😉
This year we are celebrating the holidays at our new home for the first time ever…My parents came over to visit…And this is my mom showing me how to make her traditional Christmas broth!
The table is ready for our guests….I hope your Christmas too is filled with lovely moments with your family.
I want to thank you for reading my blog this year and leaving me your kind comments. I really really appreciate it. Looking forward to resuming sewing and blogging in 2013 to continue our sewing journey together.
Beautiful scenery on the mountain, what a nice getaway!
Congratulations on the first Christmas in your new home.
