Sometimes I am lucky…

In the past couple of months I had a lucky charm…and won not one but two giveaways.

So thanks to the lovely Ali and Melissa I have more beautiful patterns to make some time soon.

Like every summer for the past three years I took part in the Summer sew along. This year Ali, Alessa and Sarah had 3 different prizes to giveaway. And Ali took my entry from her magic hat…

I could choose any pattern from independent designers….This was a really generous gift! I felt like a kid in a candy shop!

And I chose Colette Peony

Then totally unexpectedly I won a copy of My Image magazine that Melissa was giving away.

I love discovering new sewing magazines (Melissa is the pro for that!) so getting her email was really exciting for me

And even more if you see some of the patterns

This coat reminds me of Jaime Christina’s Abbey Coat pattern that I like so much

And look at these dresses

And this tunic

You can check out the full magazine  online

So now you know I won’t be out of projects for the next…5 or 6 winters…

And to give myself another challenge….I am joining the Colette 2.0 sew-along …and I decided this before knowing there is also a chance to win a gift certificate for $100 for Harts Fabric!! That would be really too much luck all at once!

Are you joining any sew-alongs this fall? I have seen at least 2 more I would have liked to join…Colette Anise and Paunnet’s Deer and Doe’s new pattern line

  1. Lucky girl, indeed! That Peony will look great on you. My lifestyle right now is very casual so instead of making dressier patterns like Colette, I’m joining Lladybird’s Thurlow sew-along (for some everyday trousers) as well as Karen’s apronalong. All that baking I’m doing these days requires an apron!
