My journey to work the other day got quite intriguing…maybe because I was wearing my new Little Miss Marple Blouse. This is the last project before the summer break at my pattern drafting course.
As I was sitting on the ferry, I saw one of the sailors (the Italian slang word in this area is “batelott” from “battello”, ferry)
In my morning halfway sleepy and preppy look I started pondering what to do…I thought What would Miss Marple do? (this blouse really reminds me of her)
Then my mind drifted away to taking some pictures of the neckline to share with you.
Then, the matching lines on the blouse that have caused me so much headaches. Thanks Tasia for another great tutorial.
Finally, I got my act together and dared…
Finalmente, ho preso il coraggio a quattro mani e…
Asked for a picture with the guy! Thankfully he was very cool about it and didn’t mind ending up on the web. I don’t think sailors are into sewing… I hope so!
How is your summer sewing going so far? I have a busy time sewing for the family, for once!
Have a great week!
Buona settimana!
Hehe, love the pic with the sailor! Miss Marple is one of my all time favorite fiction characters, and I used to watch the movies – mostly the ones with Margaret Rutherford – with my great-grandma late at night when I couldn’t sleep. Happy times – I’ve been thinking a lot about her, lately…
BTW, that’s some pretty awesome pattern matching!

The neckline is so nice, as is the fact that sailor agreed to pose – very daring of you indeed! I must confess that I really like these little stories you tell with your pictures on your blog posts. And what are you sewing for the family?
