This La Mia Boutique issue is pretty colorful…I love it when they feature original designs for the magazine.

This collection has a Japanese flair. Though a kimono jacket is something that wouldn’t suit me…I love the fabric and design and the fact that they paired a wide jacket with slim pants.

Questa collezione è ispirata al Giappone. Anche se non metterei una giacca kimono…mi piace la stoffa, il modello e l´abbinamento con dei pantaloni a sigaretta.I would rather label this as a tunic rather than a dress…given the length 😉 Having said that…it’s all about the print and fabric. Actually if you look at the tech drawings at the end of the post you will notice an opening at the back.

Questo mi sembra più una tunica che un vestito…vista la lunghezza 😉 Detto questo…è tutto incentrato sulla stoffa e il disegno. Se guardate il disegno tecnico vedrete che ha un’apertura sul dietro.Again…great print! What you can’t really see from the above picture is that the sleeves have an opening…I’m a bit puzzled about that!

Bella stampa! Purtroppo non si vede dalla foto che le maniche hanno un´apertura…mi lasciano un po’ perplessa!This is the cover blouse…and the shorts pattern is also provided..pity you can’t see them!

Questa è la maglietta che si vede in copertina…e anche i pantaloncini sono compresi nella rivista…peccato non si vedano!The rest of the issue includes ‘basic’ patterns as the above outfit.

Gli altri modelli sono più ´standard´ come quello qui sopra.I personally don’t like this outfit at all…not event the pineapple print…but as you know I like to include a bit of everything in my reviews…because taste is very subjective!

Personalmente non mi piace questo completo…neanche la stampa con le ananas…ma sapete che mi piace dare varietà alle mie recensioni…perché i gusti sono molto soggettivi!This coat reminds me of my beloved Cassock…I wouldn’t make it in a guipure lace though… but as previously said…it might well look hideous to some of you…and that’s ok by me!

Questa giacca mi ricorda la mia adorata Cassock…non la farei in pizzo però…ma come dicevo prima magari a voi non piacerà affatto…e va bene così!I have mixed feelings about this print…sometimes I look at it and like it…sometimes I don’t. What’s your take? If you look at the tech drawing for pattern 35 you’ll notice the skirt fabric is pleated…that would be a big no-no for me. But you could always make it in a different fabric.

Questa stoffa…non so…a volte la guardo e mi piace altre volte no. Cosa ne dite? Se guardate il disegno tecnico del modello 35 vedrete che ha una stoffa plissettata…ecco, personalmente la eviterei. Ma potreste realizzarla in un´altra stoffa.And to close off here is dress 18…again you need to look at the drawing to see the open back and slightly asymmetrical hem. You would need an adhesive bra for that! Out of curiosity…as any of you ever tried them? Do you like them?

E per finire il vestito 18…di nuovo dovete guardare il disegno tecnico per vedere lo scollo sulla schiena e l’orlo asimmetrico. Avreste bisogno di un reggiseno adesivo per indossarlo! Per curiosità…ne avete mai provati? Vi siete trovate bene?
