Easy Cap Sleeve Tee and Pattern Giveaway

2011 has become officially my green year… I made another green project and coincidentally today I am wearing a green shirt.
This cap sleeve shirt wasn’t even on my sewing project list actually, but when Jodi Jean from Jocole contacted me to test out her upcoming pattern I immediately agreed.
It’s such a versatile pattern and I had the perfect fabric for it in my stash, how could I miss such an opportunity?

You see, I am someone who loves a new challenge. Starting out something new really energizes me. I get thrilled and get all my energies together to get a project finished. Actually, that’s another side of my personality…I don’t particularly like leaving things unfinished (well, unless it’s house chores!)…I digress.

I loved putting together this tee because the instructions are super detailed (they compare to Sewaholic and Colette Pattern) and there are loads of tips on how to sew with knits, achieve a professional result and links for resources.
What’s more, I got to choose as many as 16 different neckline available by combining the pattern pieces. Of course, I also starting to think about embellishing the tee with embroidery, decorations or appliqué….but I left that out for this project.

Overall, it didn’t take long at all to finish which is always a bonus for me because I can complete it after work (and also meet the one-week pattern testing deadline). I think it took me about 3 hours… I know it can sound like a lot, but personally I never manage to finish anything in 30 minutes or an hour…no matter how easy the project is.

Well, now that I have told you about my project…let’s get to the part were you, lovely ladies, get to play!

I would like to offer a giveaway for one Jocole pdf pattern. Actually, this prize is generously offered by Jodi Jean herself. When I contacted her about the giveaway arrangements, she kindly agreed to send it to the winner for free. I am really thankful for that.

So, here are the quick rules:

1. Leave a comment saying which Jocole pattern you prefer from either the Easy Swing Skirt or the Easy Cap Sleeve Tee
2. One entry per person. Easy ;o)
3. The giveaway is open worldwide
3. Leave a comment by Saturday October 22, 2011 midnight GMT
4. I’ll choose one comment at random as the winner.

If you have any questions about the patterns, let me know.

Best of luck and have a great weekend.

  3. Nicely done! I’ve been working with knits again and just got a similar pattern that I can’t wait to try (cap sleeve, v-neck). I still have that green knit from you but I keep saving it for a special project (I feel like it really needs to be a dress). Since I’ve already a similar pattern, I’d love to try the Easy Swing Skirt. Thanks to you and Jodi Jean for such a great giveaway.
