This weekend we had a glorious weather. Clear atmosphere, warm…just perfect. So I was itching to get out and take some pictures of my Burst of Sunshine Halter Top.

Questo weekend il tempo e’ stato favoloso. Atmosfera pulita, caldo… assolutamente perfetto. Non ero piu’ nella pelle e avevo voglia di uscire per fare le foto del mio Top Raggio di sole.

The weather and scenery definitely got to my head.

Il tempo e il panorama mi hanno ovviamente dato alla testa.

Ok, here is a serious picture so you can see the design. I drafted the pattern starting out from my usual sloper and drawing a diagonal line from the armseye. The front and back are straight. Then I added a strip of fabric for the bow/neckline.

Siamo seri…cosi’ vi faccio vedere i dettagli. Ho realizzato il modello a partire da quello di base. Ho semplicemente tracciato una diagonale a partire dal giromanica. Il collo davanti e dietro sono dritti. Poi ho aggiunto una striscia di stoffa per il fiocco/collo.

The top is fully lined with the same fabric since it would have been too sheer. This incidentally gives the top an interesting touch as you can see the motif through the lighter sections. I religiously followed Tasia’s technique for stay stitching and understitching the bodice.

The fabric (originally planned for my Lonsdale dress…before realizing I didn’t have enough) is from the famous Italian Miss Sixty brand…but it was in the bargain bin at my fabric shop, yeah!

Il top e’ completamente foderato con la stessa stoffa perche’ era trasparente. Questo fa si’ che il motivo sia molto particolare visto che si vedono in trasparenza le linee della parte interna. Ho seguito le preziosissime istruzioni di Tasia per fissare la fodera.

La stoffa (che avrei voluto usare per il vestito Lonsdale…se ne avessi avuta abbastanza) e’ della Miss Sixty…ed e’ stato un affare trovato nella cesta degli scampoli, yes!

Here is the back view. The pants are one of my first self drafting attempts…when I thought I could just put a straight strip of fabric around the waist. I still wear them but choose a long tee.

Una foto del dietro. Anche i pantaloni sono una delle mie prime creazioni… quando credevo che il cinturino della vita doveva essere un semplice rettangolo. Li metto ancora ma con una maglietta lunga.
