If you have been following my blog, you may have noticed that I mostly sew for myself…lately I have been making an exception. My little sis was expecting twins and she found a Bapron tutorial online.
As a auntie and seamstress I was thrilled to give baby Mathias and Theo a little homemade gift. I was a bit apprehensive when putting the Bapron on them…they are so tiny and they were half asleep.
On the front I used Ikea laminated fabric so it’s easy to wipe off. For the back and appliqué initials, I used Cloud 9 My Happy Garden Toadstools organic cotton that Ray Stitch offered for in a giveaway through Tilly and the Buttons. I love the feel of organic cotton and Rachel was so nice to give this fabric away for free.
Now that I have an excuse to make baby gifts, I might even venture into the quilt world and make a simple quilt. But in the meantime I will go back and work on my Lonsdale dress sew-along…I am lagging behind, but planning to catch up as I am off work next week.
Have a nice Sunday.
This is a cute idea! I might borrow this idea for my little niece. I’ve really enjoyed getting to make tiny things for her, and I imagine this will be no exception.

The twins are adorable (¡tus sobrinos son preciosos!) and the gifts you made super cute. Isn’t it great to make handmade presents for little ones? Let me know if you decide to venture into quit territory.
