I am so excited Spring is in the air and warmer days are here, that I thought it was the right time for a giveaway!
It’s a giveaway to thank you for reading my little blog and motivating me to sew with you kind comments.
So here we go…
The giveaway includes:
- 1.6 yards (1.5 meters) Green Double-cotton jersey, Made in Italy, as seen in my Billy Cardi (luckily the shop still had some left)
- this jersey fabric is quite easy to sew with. It’s not flimsy nor slippery and could be easily sewn with a zig-zag stitch on a regular sewing machine.
- Flower cotton brooch I made for the giveaway (three-inch wide, with a woolen backing and my signature label)
If you are looking for a quick jersey project, here are some of my favorites:
- Cowl Neck Vest
- Did I mention the Billy Cardi? :o)
- Long sleeve Tunic or turn it into a dress (BTW Thimble and Acorn creations are awesome, I bought a dress some time ago)
- A skirt with embroidery or appliqué

How generous of you! This is pretty boring but id probably make a simple knit dress, short sleeve, scoop neck, simple versatile in this great warm weather color. Or id brave a cardigan like you! 🙂

Hmm, depending on the width of the fabric, I’d probably try to squeeze a little half-circle skirt and a short-sleeved cowl-neck top out of it. Maybe embroider both with some flowers… Maybe in purple… And try to make a fabric flower from the scraps? Have I mentioned that your fabric flowers are very pretty and I’ve been wanting to make one (and subsequently forgetting about it) for ages? 🙂

Pretty color! I’d make a dress, for sure. My niece will graduate from college next month, so it would be a gift for her. I’m thinking of a sleeveless cowl neck bodice and an a line skirt. She looks great in anything, and the color would suit her.

A lovely giveaway. I would make a cardigan from a japanese pattern book I have been given. It looks like quite a simple pattern based on rectangles.

What a nice giveaway! It seems like fate that you would comment on my blog last week, which brought me to your blog, which has a giveaway of jersey- all at the time when I am trying to figure out how to sew clothes for myself out of knit fabric/jersey!! AND that colour green is my favourite colour!!!
what would i make? I don’t have a pattern yet, but a tunic-y top or a dress would be grand. maybe something like this:

I would, without a doubt, make the Billy cardi. I’ve been quilting for a while and got away from sewing clothes. Your blog is such a sewing inspiration to me that I feel the need to start garment construction again. Thank you!
