I have been waiting for this issue since last month…I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on it…why? by now you should know I’m pretty obsessed with collars…and this issue has two I adore.
The first is the raised neckline on the cover coat….it’s a pattern developed by an indie italian fashion brand Sixteenone.
I absolutely adore how it’s paired with those sleeves (do they have a specific name?)

And this coat is my first love…again that collar is to die for! Even that pink has something to it…ok maybe I am losing my mind! What I don’t like at all is that fur… do you like it?

I also like this jumpsuit…I would make a few changes to the pattern…like removing those gathers on the sleeve head and making that cleavage inset in a solid color…possibly I would also reduce the flared leg width.

This coat is fully reversible. It’s boxier than what I would normally make but I feel it’s spot on with that oversized collar.

Another exclusive pattern…it’s actually a dress. Personally I like the jacket more so than the bottom. I think it’s a cool design but I doubt I will ever get around to making it.

How cool is that fabric mix? I would have never thought that sort of boiled wool could look so nice. I am usually not keen on double breasted coats or gold buttons but when I saw it I would have literally run out and bought it (sometimes sourcing specific fabric is so difficult or expensive I find it’s not worth making it).

Next up a quick empire (or maybe just regular) waist knit dress pattern. It’s not a style that I would feel comfortable with, but it would look nice also in a solid fabric for many occasions.

Since Christmas is around the corner I thought this could be a great pattern to make in a couple of days. I am not sure whether velvet is a winner on everyone and wouldn’t choose it for myself. But I would otherwise totally make this pattern…even as a top! Nice!
