Ready for the La Mia Boutique holiday issue? I know some of you were waiting for it and am really happy you find my reviews useful.  This month’s pattern include both fancy dresses (read chiffon and satin) but also easier pattern like a bolero top on the cover page, shift dress or even a faux-fur coat…all you need is red fabric and you’re ready to party.

Pronte per il numero delle feste de La Mia Boutique? So che alcune di voi l´aspettavano…sono davvero contenta troviate utili queste recensioni. In questo numero ci sono sia vestiti eleganti (in chiffon e satin) ma anche modelli più semplici da cucire come il bolerino della copertina, un tubino o anche un cappottino in eco-pelliccia… basta scegliere una stoffa rossa e sarete prontissime per le feste.

Personally I won’t be making another red dress this season…and if I did I would stay away from chiffon…but I find the other two patterns quite nice for a party dress…except for the back on pattern 5…way too revealing and fiddly to make…it´s not my style and I would also end up strangled if I had to wear it!

Are you into party dresses?

Io non cucirò un altro vestito rosso per le feste…ma se lo facessi sicuramente eviterei quello in chiffon… ma mi piaccio gli altri due modelli per abiti eleganti…tranne per il retro del numero 5…troppo scollato e complicato da realizzare…non è il mio stile e mi strozzerei se cercassi di indossarlo!

Vi piace cucire abiti da sera?

For something quicker to make there’s this open back tunic. I don’t like the lace back at all…but you could always use a different fabric or simply omit it all together and wear it over a shirt or other top…I actually refashioned a cardi like that recently :o)

Se volete un capo più semplice c’è questo miniabito aperto dietro. Non mi piace affatto il pizzo…ma potrest usare un´altra stoffa o eliminarla del tutto e indossarlo su una camicia o una maglia…ho reciclato così un cardigan proprio qualche giorno fa :o)

I like this dress and the fabric used…given my height I would probably not even need to lengthen it! I really like that necklace too. What’s hard to see on this picture is that the sleeves are made of faux fur…never seen anything like that before!

Mi piace questo vestito e la stoffa usata…con la mia statura probabilmente non dovrei neanche allungarlo! Mi piace molto anche la collana. Quello che non si vede bene dalla foto è che le maniche sono realizzate in eco-pelliccia…non avevo mai visto una cosa del genere!

I’m not a fur fan but you want to make a quick coat this pattern is quite nice…few pieces and little fitting needed. Get some nice wool and you’re set!

A me non piace molto la pelliccia ma se volete realizzare un cappotto veloce questo cartamodello è perfetto…pochi pezzi e un modello che non richiede troppe modifiche per vestibilità. Basta comprare una bella lana e via!

This issue includes several down jacket patterns…it’s a laudable initiative and the pattern is also something I would wear…if only I could get hold of such fabric…maybe they could include a suppliers list for those hard to find fabrics…I’m pretty sure some of us would be very happy! How do you feel about that?

Questo numero ha qualche modello di piumini…trovo sia una bella idea e questo lo metterei…se solo riuscissi a trovare una stoffa del genere…magari potrebbero includere una lista di negozi che vendono stoffe ´atipiche´…sono certa che alcune di noi l’apprezzerebbero! Che ne dite?

Se cercate modelli per tutti i giorni ce ne sono alcuni.

I really like some of the plus sized patterns and the model they chose (though she´s at the low end of the curvy spectrum if at all). The coat reminds me of the Hemisferic coat recently released by Pauline Alice. By the way, La Mia Boutique plus sizes start at 46 (waist 76 cm / hip 104 cm) and all issues include quite detailed instructions on page 41 to size up or down. I recently used their chart to go up two sizes and the pattern was spot on. So, keep it in mind if you find something you like in a different size.

Mi piacciono molto alcuni dei modelli taglie grandi di questo numero e anche la modella che hanno scelto (anche se al massimo ha una taglia 46 o forse neanche). Il cappotto mi ricorda Hemisferic di Pauline Alice. A proposito, come vedete i modelli taglie grandi de La Mia Boutique partono dalla 46 (vita 76 cm e fianchi 104) e in tutti i numeri ci sono delle istruzioni dettagliate a pagina 41 per aumentare o diminuire le taglie. Recentemente le ho usate per aumentare un modello di 2 taglie e devo dire che il risultato è stato perfetto. Quindi, tenetelo presente se vedete qualcosa che vi piace in una taglia diversa dalla vostra.

I also like the cardi here in faux leather. I’m not a pleated skirt fan (they look horrible on me) but if you like them you can get some nice metallic pleated jersey it would be a nice and easy holiday make.

Mi piace anche questo cardigan in finta pelle. Non amo le gonne a pieghe (mi stanno malissimo) ma se vi piacciono potreste scegliere una stoffa plissettata metallica e creare una bella gonna per le feste in poco tempo.

Last but not least…men patterns! I personally don’t need any but if you’re after classics this is your issue. In any case using  evening gala fabric is not compulsory 😉

E per finire…modelli da uomo! A me non servono ma ci sono molti classici. Ad ogni modo non è d’obbligo usare un tessuto da sera 😉

Come al solito vi lascio la lista dei cartamodelli… ne trovate altri molto semplici come il 12, il 28 o anche il cappottino 38.

Sono curiosa di vedere cosa pubblicheranno nel 2018!
