When I flicked through this first pattern my jaw literally dropped…if you’ve been following me for some time you know about my funnel neckline pattern drafting adventures. This pattern is pretty much what I had in mind! So I was really excited.
Quando ho visto questo primo cartamodello sono rimasta letteralmente a bocca aperta…se mi seguite da un po’ forse sapete delle mie avventure per disegnare lo scollo avvitato come questo. Questo cartamodello è praticamente quello che volevo fare. Quindi non stavo più nella pelle dalla gioia.
But then I saw this and my excitement quickly waned. I don´t know… that voile is something I don´t like… at all.
Ma quando ho visto questo mi sono subito ricreduta. Non so…quel voile non mi piace…affatto.
And to continue with my eye soreness…this. I guess if you are a Dolce and Gabbana fan this is something you like. But it’s not me.
E per continuare con il mio mal di pancia…questo. Forse se amate Dolce e Gabbana questo vi piace. Ma non fa per me.
I guess this one is ok… you could skip the trim and swap the contrast inset with something less shiny it to tone it down but as a pattern for a shift dress is not bad. Is it just me of that bag looks out of proportion…maybe it´s just the camera angle 😉
Forse questo non è male…si potrebbe eliminare la passamaneria e sostituire l’inserto con uno opaco per renderlo più sobrio ma come modello per un tubino non è male. È una mia impressione o la borsa sembra sproporzionata…forse è solo l’inquadratura 😉
Not so convinced about a royal blue suit but this could be good if you’re after a suit pattern…personally I’ve come to like shorter jackets.
Non mi convince questo blu ma se cercate dei cartamodelli di completi questo potrebbe fare al caso vostro…per quanto mi riguarda recentemente le giacche mi piacciono più corte.
Though it doesn’t look like it this is plus size fashion…I think the top could make a nice basic to sew again and again in different colors.
Anche se si fa fatica a crederlo questi cartamodelli sono per taglie grandi… Il top potrebbe essere un buon cartamodello da usare molte volte e declinare in vari colori.
This is also in the plus section. Both patterns are meant for knits. Again nice basics if you don´t have anything similar already.

Last but not least there are some men patterns in this issue. The whole outfit is included. I´m not a fan of the fabrics but you can certainly change it 😉
E per finire dei cartamodelli da uomo. Tutti i capi sono compresi. Non mi piacciono le stoffe ma si possono cambiare per fortuna 😉

Thank you for a peek in the new magazine. This is probably very forward of me but I would like to ask a question.
I have a pattern from an old LaMia Boutique magazine that I have been wanted to make for years but of course the instructions are in Italian – would it be possible for you to translate the instructions to English for me????

Considering the price of the magazine even with just one pattern it’s worth buying for me.

I love that first jacket too – but I find that dramatic collars like that rub on face and get makeup on the collar very quickly so I tend to stick with collarless versions instead. I’d love to see you make this one up though

Thanks Kristy. Actually, I never had any problems with the blue blouse I made, maybe because it was not coming out as much towards my chin…I’ll tell you when I make it.

Ho già ritagliato i due cartamodelli jeans uomo e jeans (rossi) donna ma sono perplessa, la baschina dietro dei jeans di solito è un po’ curva, credo per creare la pince, in questi cartamodelli la baschina è dritta, non mi convince… qualcuno ha già provato a farli?
Si potrebbe provare a curvarla un po’, che ne dite?

Non ho provato a farli. Il mio consiglio sarebbe di imbastire quella parte e cucire il resto. A seconda della conformazione potrebbe andare bene anche dritta. In caso contrario puoi curvarla un po’

infatti ho pensato di usare un tessuto di scarto e farli corti senza le tasche, così provo la vestibilità ed eventualmente correggo

So glad I found your blog! I just found this magazine, a little worse for wear, tucked down the bottom of a stand in Montenegro. All in Italian but hopefully I can wing it. I’ve been looking left and right for a men’s bomber jacket pattern!!! Had no idea if they included allowances or not.
