I’m awfully late with this review (and replying to your kind comments on my last post)…this issue is available for sale only until May 15. Having said that, there are several options to buy La Mia Boutique worldwide and back issues too.

As you will see this issue is filled with great basics…perfect for hacking. I would recommend buying it simply for that!

Since I’m late I thought I’d try a different format for this review…showing similar patterns to those published on the magazine…so you can hack the pattern to achieve that look and discover a pattern full potential beyond the styling you see on the magazine.  This is something I regularly do in my head when I see a new issue or when I see a pattern I like in the wild…

Since this is an experiment so I would really appreciate your feedback!

Come vedrete in questo numero ci sono modelli base…ideali da trasformare. Vi consiglierei di comprarla solo per questo motivo!

Visto che sono in ritardo ho pensato di provare con un diverso formato per questa recensione…vi faccio vedere modelli simili a quelli pubblicati…cosi’ potreste modificarli per avere quel look (se vi piace) e scoprire il potenziale del modello oltre quello che viene mostrato sulla rivista. Questo e’ quello che faccio normalmente nella mia testa quando ho tra le mani una nuova rivista o quando vedo modelli che mi piacciono in giro…

Trattandosi di un esperimento…fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate!

This pattern is very similar to Blouse Chic Birdy by Kit by Klo As you may remember, I used the collar and neckline from that pattern on my Melting pot Blouse. The obvious differences are the sleeve flounces, collar, missing back pleat and joke. Overall there’s more ease on the Blouse Chic Birdy.

Questo modello e’ simile alla Blouse Chic Birdy by Kit by Klo Come forse ricorderete, ho usato il colletto e lo scollo di quel modello per realizzare la mia Melting pot Blouse. Le differenze sono la parte bassa della manica, il colletto e l’assenza di piega e sprone sul retro. In generale, questa blusa e’ piu’ attillata.

This blouse is even more similar to Blouse Chic Birdy by Kit by Klo. The difference is in the added darts and placket and different collar. Note this pattern is for plus sizes.

Questo modello e’ ancor piu’ simile alla Blouse Chic Birdy by Kit by Klo. La differenza sta nella pince sul seno, l’abbottonatura e il colletto. Questo modello e’ per taglie grandi.

This one reminds me of Deer & Doe Plantain Shirt Here there’s no set in sleeve, so it’s quicker to sew. On the other hand this pattern is made for wovens…so you might have to size down if you use a knit.

Questo modello mi ricorda la Deer & Doe Plantain Shirt  Qui le maniche sono attaccate al corpino quindi e’ piu’ veloce da cucire. Pero’ questa e’ per tessuti non elasticizzati quindi se volete usarla con la maglina dovreste ridurre la taglia.

When I saw this blouse my mind went to… Blouse Cezembre by Anne Kerdiles This one is more fitted and there are differences at the hem.

Quando ho visto questa camicia ho subito pensato… Blouse Cezembre by Anne Kerdiles Questa e’ piu’ attillata e la parte inferiore e ‘ diversa.

This top could become Back is Back by Vanessa Pouzet. Here you have added darts and inset. The back neckline would need reshaping.

Questa maglietta potrebbe diventare Back is Back by Vanessa Pouzet. Qui ci sono delle pinces aggiunge e un inserto. Ovviamente lo scollo sulla schiena andrebbe modificato.

This dress reminds me of the Liv T-Shirt from Pattydoo Berlin The difference lies in the lenght (!) and the side seams that make this dress more fitted. Incidentally, this pattern company is very interesting because you can mix and match pattern elements to make it your own!

Questo vestito mi ricorda la Liv T-Shirt di Pattydoo Berlin. La differenza e’ la lunghezza (!) e le cuciture laterali che rendono questo vestito piu’ attillato. A proposito, Pattydoo ha un concetto molto interessante per i suoi cartamodelli…puoi scegliere diversi elementi e creare quello che piu’ ti piace.

Finally, a bomber jacket. A similar pattern is Jalie’s Bomber Jacket
