September has been quite mild this year….have been enjoying loads of unexpected sun…so I feel slightly less late showing you this summer Deer & Doe Belladone!

This time I even remembered to lengthen the waistline. So it’s not as short waisted as the Belladone I made last year . For the record it’s a full inch (2.5 cm). I also reduced the hemline to make the skirt longer.

 

Questo mese di settembre è stato molto mite…ho avuto delle fantastiche giornate soleggiate…per questo mi sento meno in ritardo a pubblicare questo vestito  Deer & Doe Belladone!

Questa volta mi sono anche ricordata di allungare il punto vita. Così non è corto come il Belladone che ho fatto l’anno scorso. Per informazione l´ho allungato di 2,5 cm. Ho anche ridotto l’orlo così la gonna è più lunga.

Though I had already altered the back to avoid gaping, when I finished the problem was still not gone. So I added a dart on the bottom section of the top back. So if you end up with a similar problem keep in mind this handy fix 😉

The fabric is organic cherry chambray from Amandine Cha. It’s just the right weight for a dress or top…but I wouldn’t dare to make trousers with it. I wanted to do more color blocking but I wasn’t sure I would like the result… the lighter side veers towards pink and I didn’t want to risk the schoolgirl look. I am really tempted to get this fabric in other colors though!

Nonostante avessi già corretto la parte posteriore per eliminare il tessuto in eccesso, quando ho finito il vestito ho notato che il problema era ancora lì. Quindi ho risolto il problema aggiungendo una piccola pince sulla parte superiore del corpino. Quindi se avete lo stesso problema tenete presente questa possibile soluzione 😉

La stoffa è uno chambray organico color ciliegia di Amandine Cha. La stoffa ha il peso perfetto per un vestito o un top…ma non la userei per dei pantaloni. Avrei voluto creare più contrasto con i due lati della stoffa ma non ero sicura del risultato…la parte più chiara della stoffa ha quasi un punto di rosa rosa e non volevo sembrare una scolaretta. Però mi tentano molto gli altri colori disponibili!
