It’s been a while since I published a La Mia Boutique Review. So to get back into it, I will be publishing my favorite patterns from this issue.
E’ da un po’ che non pubblico recensioni de La Mia Boutique. Ho pensato che per riprendere vi avrei fatto vedere i modelli di questo numero che piu’ mi piacciono.
This dress reminds me of By Hand London Anna as well as Lehenga Skirt by Paco Peralta. I love the silhoutte and its elegant minimalist design. This issue is worth buying just to get this pattern!
Questo vestito mi ricorda un po’ Anna di By Hand London e un po’ la gonna Lehenga di Paco Peralta. Adoro la linea, la semplicita’ e l’eleganza. Secondo me la rivista e’ da comprare solo per questo modello!
And looks great from the back too! It would also make a fabulous wedding dress.

You can never go wrong with a shirt dress! I love it has princess seams and pleats. Am not so sure about those patch pockets, though.
Non si puo’ mai sbagliare con una scamiciata! Mi piacciono moltissimo i fianchini davanti e dietro e i dopi fondi piega. Non sono pero’ molto convinta delle taschine.
Both the shirt and the shorts patterns are provided. I like the contrast collar and cuffs. Liberty print anyone?
I cartamodelli della camicia e dei pantaloncini sono forniti nella rivista. MI piacciono i polsini e colletto a contrasto. Sarebbe bella con una stampa Liberty, che ne dite?
To finish off here is a cocoon dress…nothing new but the fabric is to die for!
E per finire questo vestito a uovo non e’ molto innovativo ma la stoffa e’ fantastica!

Ciao from England! I follow your blog and read your reviews of this magazine. Is it easy to buy in Italy? I am visiting Milan and Turin in a few weeks time and want to buy one. Also if you have a re ommendation for one fabric shop ( my husband is with me!) to visit only, which would it be? It needs to be not too expensive and central . I know you did a fabric shop meet up in Milan so I am hoping you may have a recommendation for Milan if not for Turin

So cool! You can find it in most newsstands (edicola). In Milan I would go to Emmepi Tessuti http://www.emmepitessuti.com on the meetup blog post video you can catch a glimpse. It’s relatively small but well stocked for fashion fabric and not expensive. As for Turin I’ll ask. Let me know if you need more info.

Hi again Ann! I’m sorry it took me long to get info on Turin. I hope it’s still relevant. You can try http://www.fieradeltessuto.it/ it’s not right in the city center but you can get there by public transport. You can take the underground from Porta Nuova.

I just got my first copy of La Mia Boutique. I am curious about the cut on the sizing. Do the patterns tend to fit true to size, a bit big or small – overall or in any area? Thanks.

I would suggest you measure the pattern. Generally they are true to size but I had some instances with loads of ease. Don’t forget to add seam allowances;) have fun
