If you have a look at my past projects you’ll notice I mostly wear dark colors and solids…but sometimes I am drawn to wild prints and colors… as in this sweatshirt! Orange and hot pink is a color combo I’ve come to like quite a lot…so when Marine had in store some nice wool jersey I thought I should give it a try…despite the colors being red and purple…It’s close enough isn’t it?

Se data un’occhiata a quello che ho cucito in passato noterete che uso colori scuri tinta unita…ma a volte mi innamoro di stoffe fantasia e coloratissime…come nel caso di questa felpa! La combinazione arancione e fucsia mi piace molto…quindi quando ho visto da Marine del jersey di lana ho pensato di provarci…anche se i colori erano rosso e viola…in fondo sono simili, no?

I used a raglan sweatshirt pattern from La Mia Boutique and simply modified the back using Bethioua (by the way if you wear a size S/M and don’t mind it’s in German you can get it for free).

Let me just tell you that the ease on this pattern was way too much! I went down 2 sizes, didn’t add any seam allowance and I was still able to sew both sleeves and side seams with a 3/8 (1 cm) seam allowance!

Ho usato il cartamodello di una felpa raglan de La Mia Boutique e ho semplicemente modificato il dietro usando Bethioua (a proposito se avete una taglia S/M e non vi dispiace che sia in tedesco, potete scaricarla gratuitamente).

Devo dirvi che la vestibilita’ aggiunta su questo modello era davvero troppa! Ho scelto 2 taglie di meno della mia, non ho aggiunto margini e nonostante questo sono riuscita a cucire la manche e i fianchi con margini di 1 cm!

I think the back is the best part on this sweatshirt…other than that I feel like I am wearing a pajama when I have it on (not in a good way!).

I believe it’s a combination of the colors and silhouette on me. And I’m really annoyed about it! It’s perfectly finished (aka no mistakes) and the fabric is really nice…oh well, I’ll try to wear it on casual days and at home.

Which of your makes did you least like on you? Why?

La parte posteriore è quello che mi piace di più…a parte questo mi sembra di indossare un pigiama (e non lo intendo come una cosa positiva!)

Credo sia dovuto ai colori e al modello. E mi scoccia moltissimo! E’ rifinita in modo perfetto (non ho fatto errori) e la stoffa è bella…cercherò comunque di metterla nei giorni casual e a casa.
