Here is the dress I wore to the sewing meetup. It’s Style Arc Kate Dress…I simply used the back pattern piece for the front, removed the sleeves and redrafted the front neckline. One Pattern Many Looks…this is number 4 (previous versions)! and it won’t be the last for sure.
Ecco il vestito che ho indossato all’incontro di cucito. E’ Kate di Style Arc…ho semplicemente usato il dietro del cartamodello anche per il davanti, eliminato le maniche e ridisegnato lo scollo davanti. Un cartamodello in tante versioni…questa e’ la quarta (ecco le precedenti)! Sicuramente non sara’ l’ultima.
As you can see from the back, the bottom part is actually a band I had to cut cross grain. I wanted to get the nice grey/black and white design on the pattern so I had to bend some rules. The neckline, armholes and hem are simply serged and then topstitched with a zig-zag stitch.
I love this dress! So practical and it’s exactly what I envisioned when I first bought the fabric!

Come si vede dal dietro, in basso ho tagliato una fascia sulla perpendicolare della cimosa. Volevo includere il disegno grigio/bianco e nero e per farlo ho dovuto violare le regole del cucito.
Lo scollo, il giromanica e l’orlo sono semplicemente rifiniti alla taglia e cuci e poi impunturati con zig-zag.
Questo vestito mi piace davvero molto! E’ pratico ed e’ proprio quello che avevo in mente quando ho comprato la stoffa!
Cosa state cucendo di bello? Dopo aver finito delle sciarpe ad anello da regalare, ho cominciato una questo Top di Lauren Guthrie in versione elegante.

Love this dress….and the bottom band. It’s a great feature! I’m currently sewing cushion covers which is super dull, but next up is a shirt for me wee boy, and then maybe a shirt for hubby too!

Wow con un modello riesci davvero a fare mille versioni di un abito è una tra le cose più belle della modellistica io penso e tra l’altro sei bravissima a farlo!!! Molto molto carino il top di Lauren sono curiosa di vedere la tua versione!!!
