How many versions of the same pattern can you make?* If you asked Roisin from Dolly Clacket she would tell you several! She is undoubtedly the queen of making the most out of her patterns!
After making two summer versions of this Burda 09/2012 108/109 in 2013 and in 2014, I tought it was time to be brave and cut into this beautiful cashmere wool I had stashed away.

Quante versioni di uno stesso cartamodello si possono fare?* Se chiedessi a Roisin from Dolly Clacket la risposta sarebbe moltissime! Lei e’ davvero la regina indiscussa del riutilizzo dei cartamodelli!

Dopo aver realizzato due versioni estivi di questo cartamodello Burda 09/2012 108/109 nel 2013 e nel 2014, ho pensato fosse ora di prendere il coraggio a due mani e tagliare del bellissimo cashmere che avevo da parte!

I added sleeves that came with the pattern. They are slightly flared and have shoulder darts. Compared to previous versions I lowered the front neckline (feels much better around my neck) and opted for a straight neckline at the back.

Ho aggiunto le maniche del cartamodello che sono leggermente svasate e hanno delle pinces sulla spalla. Rispetto alle versioni precedenti ho abbassato leggermente la scollatura davanti (ora veste meglio sul collo) e ho preferito lasciare la scollatura dietro dritta.

I was worried the dress would turn out to be too plain so I added a strip of quilting cotton (Thanks Andrea). I carefully basted a line at center front and lined up the fabric. Though the picture tells otherwise I can assure you it’s straight. To be honest I am not sure pairing soft cashmere with stiffer quilting cotton was a wise choice as the two fabrics have different drape.

Temevo il vestito potesse risultare troppo semplice cosi’ ho aggiunto una striscia di cotone per patchwork (Grazie Andrea). Ho imbastito il centro del vestito e allineato la stoffa. Anche se non sembra dalla foto, ma vi assicuro che e’ dritta. A dir la verita’ non sono sicura che usare del cotone da patchwork piu’ rigido su del morbido cashmere sia stata una buona scelta perche’ la caduta delle due stoffe e’ diversa.

The dress is fully lined with grey taffeta. Again it was a bit of a gamble…I used what I had in my stash 😉

And now some questions: What would you suggest I make with the cashmere I have left (1.5 meters approx.)? I am thinking pants… Do you have any other ideas or pattern suggestions? What would you line this fabric with?

Il vestito e’ foderato con taffeta’ grigio. Anche questa e’ stata una scommessa…ho usato quello che avevo 😉

E adesso qualche domanda: cosa potrei fare con il metro e mezzo di stoffa che mi rimane? Pensavo di fare dei pantaloni…Avete qualche altra idea o cartamodello da suggerirmi? Cosa usereste come fodera?
